The Green School

Ashanti Green School, Ghana

The Green School is an upcoming learning and meeting place on 41 hectares of farmland in Ghana ( West Africa ).

There, young people from different cultural backgrounds and professions come together to learn agricultural farming practices. Here, permaculture and traditional African agriculture are being redefined. We want to introduce organic practices, such as Demeter and aquaponics, while reviving the old practices.

The Green School aims to help local people and counteract mass unemployment.

Our long term goal is to help build a self-sufficient life; in doing so, we emphasise the use of renewable resources, which means harnessing the elements found in nature, such as solar energy, wind energy, water energy and biological matter (fertiliser).
